Each individual must create a separate account and agree to the waiver and release of liability.

NVSO's expectation is that ALL PARTICIPANTS AND VOLUNTEERS WILL HAVE BEEN VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19, and that all necessary COVID-19 protocols such as wearing masks and social distancing, will be followed by participants, volunteers and spectators.  NVSO will follow the guidelines set by the CDC, the Commonwealth of Virginia, the local jurisdiction and the venue itself, that are in place in September.


Welcome to the Northern Virginia Senior Olympics ONLINE registration system.

You are able to register as an individual and pay by credit card. Please have the credit card ready to enter at the end of your registration process. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover. Online registrations will be accepted until 11:59 pm Wednesday, August 31.


ELIGIBILITY Residents, 50 years and older as of December 31, 2022, living in the following jurisdictions are eligible to participate: Cities of Alexandria, Falls Church and Fairfax, and the Counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun and Prince William.

Each Person must complete the whole registration form. Each Person must read and sign (by clicking the agree box) the WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY statement in order to participate. Participants may enter as many events as they like, as long as the events do not overlap in time. Bowling, Cycling and Orienteering have an extra fee which pays for the use of the facilities.

REFUND POLICY Refunds will be issued if an event is cancelled by the NVSO Committee. Refund requests for medical reasons must be received prior to the registration deadline.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM The Northern Virginia Senior Olympic Committee encourages participation by all eligible adults. If you would like to participate in the Northern Virginia Senior Olympics and are in need of fee assistance in order to participate, please contact NVSO at nvso1982@gmail.com.

RULES Complete rules for each event are available on the NVSO website (nvso.us), with rules for a specific event presented under the description of that event.  For questions concerning events and rules, contact the event director for the event of interest, whose contact information can be found on the nvso web page for the event of interest.

APPEALS Appeals must be filed with a committee member, in writing, within 24 hours of the scheduled event. Appeals will not be considered in events relying on human judgment. Only misinterpretations of rules will justify an appeal.  Decisions will be made in a timely manner.

WEATHER, RAIN AND CODE RED POLICY: In case of rain or code red air quality on any day of competition, outdoor events may be rescheduled. To confirm cancellations, see website nvso.us. See event schedule at nvso.us for rain make-up dates. Events will be rescheduled only one time.

EVENTS POLICY Northern Virginia Senior Olympic Committee officials reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any event due to scheduling problems, insufficient registration or weather. Event Directors reserve the right to resolve any rule disputes, and to disqualify any participant who arrives late to any event or fails to adhere to event rules.

MEDAL POLICY Medals will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners. In case of a tie, two medals will be given, except in some events where ties will be played off. Medals will be awarded on the day of the event. If you are unable to receive your medal then, you may pick up your medal at the Falls Church Community Center, 223 Little Falls Street, beginning October 17. Medals must be picked up by November 29, 2022. Medals will not be mailed. Questions call 703-248-5020.

FEE SCHEDULE:  Registration Fee: $20 per person. The following events require an additional fee:

Bowling - 10 pin (includes three games) $12

Cycling (for traffic control & timer) $10    

Orienteering (includes maps, epunch and compass) $10.


You may add events on your online registration up until 11:59 PM, 8/31/2022.
